The more matches you win and the longer streak you get, the more money you are given to buy stuff in customization (which I will go over later). Then there is treasure battle where you face AI opponents over and over against until you lose. There are many options available to you when practicing which arguably makes this the best single player mode in my opinion and the one that they put the most time into. Practice is where you simply take any character you want into any stage and practice fighting against AI that you can customize to just about do whatever you want which is very good since if you are having problems against a particular move, you can tell the AI to keep on doing that move until you finally learn how to block and counter it. There is also VS where you can face either against and AI or a real person sitting beside you. Both of those that I just mentioned had something that mixed it up from a typical fight and brought variety and enjoyment to an otherwise boring and lackluster campaign mode. I will admit there was a few cool moments in the campaign but nothing special besides just glorified vs battles against AI except for the very last fight and the secret fight.

The campgain in my opinon was very lackluster with a boring narrator narrating the whole thing who had almost no relevance to the actual plot. In Tekken 7 you have only 4 modes that you can play by yourself, campaign, arcade battle, practice, and vs battle. So let’s start off with the single player content (since there isn’t much sadly). This is why I am a fan of 3d fighters and not so much 2d fighters. This in my opino creates a lot more dynamic and “realistic” fights since you aren’t restricted in where you can move to. Tekken 7 is a 3d fighter so unlike games like Mortal Kombat, Street fighter, and Marvel vs Capcom where you can only move on the x axis (left and right) and y axis (up and down), in 3d fighters you can also move on the z axis (foreground and background). So while I might not be the most experienced fighting game player I do have some previous experience and am not going into this completely brand new to the genre since in my opinion the fighting game genre is one of the hardest ones to get into.

I have also played various other fighting games such as Soulcalibur 2 & 4. I have around a year of experience with Tekken 7 and another year of experience with Tekken 5. I will be looking over the content that this game has to offer and how well it does its job at being a capable fighting game. For this week’s analysis I will be looking over Tekken 7.As this is a fighting game, this game is ma inly focused on multiplayer although that does not excuse its terrible lack of content available to people who do not want to partake in single player.
